Microbubbles are tiny spherical bubbles with a diameter of   ≤  100 μ m. They are different from ubiquitous common bubbles (also known as ‘ macro bubbles ’ ), not only in terms of size but also in terms of their physicochemical properties. These special physicochemical properties have made microbubbles particularly useful in various water and wastewater treatment applications. These features are low rising velocity through water, the ace having high curvature, large gas-liquid interfacial area, and electrically charged gas-liquid interface.
